I’m so glad I decided to not take the interstate this whole trip or I would miss these wonderful places to visit. On the outskirts of Pingree was Pingree Grove Forest Preserve. This park had a small parking lot but not impossible to access. The drive going in showed the landscape of the preserve which had trails throughout. There was also a restroom and a covered picnic area. This is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle.

Pretty in that really flat, prairie sorta way but probably the most boring loop track I've ever done. But at least it was short. Not a preserve for hiking enthusiasts.

Really great trails and observation areas, but holy you-know-what, there is so much you-know-what.
People, pick up after your dogs!!!!!!!

If you like flat and open, this is a nice place. A few trees, grass, and tall grass/reeds. I know I'm not close to being a botanist so I apologize for my description not being better.
The longest trail is mowed grass, which I like but maybe not so good when rainy so you may want to schedule around that. They have clean facilities (no flush), and a really nice shelter with tables & seating. It's right next to the Highway 20 so lots of car noise. But there was no one there when I was there.

Great walk spot, interesting little farm on the edge of the trail with goats and chickens.
Our dog loved being off leash and stretching his legs.
About a two mile trip on the trails. Can't wait to walk it in the winter with snow.!!

lots of different varieties of blueberries, i feel this farm is bigger than the ones we've been to in Fennville, South Haven, Saugatuck! very nice owners and staff.
