The equipment was excellent and served us very well while out on the trail.

My wife and I rented equipment from Pitch A Tent to hike the Kalalau trail and camp at Kalalau beach at the end of March. We ended up hiking just a few days after the road and hike re-opened after heavy rains and a landslide in the area. Our experience with them was great from the very start. They helped us decide which equipment would work best for us and then stayed in communication with us about the trail and road openings. The equipment was clean (even a few things brand new!) and the contactless pick up and drop off were easy and very covid friendly. Highly recommend using them for any rental equipment on Kauai. Decided to pitch a tent on Kauai and rented one from "Pitch A tent". We went for "The works" as it includes all the gear you need to camp independently and in all comfort. All gear was in tip top shape, clean and suited the needs for camping on Kauai just fine (even in heavy rain our tent did the job). I only have one complaint: the matresses are really really thin. The contactless pick up and drop off was really convenient and the adress is really easy to find. If you plan to stay on Kauai I definitely advise renting a tent from Pitch A Tent as it is the nicest way to experience Kauai in a budget friendly way. The managers also respond quickly and accurately to any questions.

We decided to camp on Kauai instead of doing the resort vacation. We weren’t sure how we were going to make it work until we came across Pitch A Tent. Sarah made it SO easy! The gear was nice and clean. Just about everything we could possibly need to camp comfortably was available. The bins were easy to access. Our gear was even ready an hour earlier, and dropping off at 5am before our flight was easy. The only thing we did was buy an air mattress. The sleeping pads just weren’t enough for us, but still, we would do it again exactly the same way. Highly recommend!!
