I brought back a pair of boots that were not comfortable. I made a review that spoke to how uncomfortable they were. I had no intention of returning the boots as I only paid for a portion of them since work provides an allotment for boots and I did not keep the original receipt. Customer service reached out and made sure that I was able to not only return the boots after the 30 days, but also without my receipt. They took the time to research the sale and take care of everything. I did not plan on trying another pair of redwings since this was my second attempt without finding comfort, however the level of customer service made me want to try again. So I did. I have this pair of boots that so far are not hurting my feet. They do need a little more breaking in but it is not causing pain during the break in as the previous two attempts.

Bought a pair because I went through 3 pairs of boots for work in the course of a year where the bottom part of the boot would start to flap and expose my toes and it was costing me serious money to replace if you add all 3 boots for the year. So I did some research on boots that would last, and I got a pair this January and here it is June -- 6 months later -- and they're still going strong.

However, I have to say the tread on the bottom is wearing out meow so I will have to replace the tread pretty soon as I climb around and I need tread to stay safe. Probably next months, so if you're looking for some good, long-lasting boots, this is it. If they can restitch new tread on these boots that would be absolutely fantastic rather than buy a new pair.

So if you're checking here to just get actions point: 1)These boots are very comfortable. 2) They don't fall apart. 3) Tread lasts an average of 7 months of very active use.

I forgot to mentioned that it took a couple days for one of my boots to break in -- yes only 1 -- but after those few days of use it finally broke in and it was super comfortable.

It turns out it costs $125 to put refill the tread on the shoes.

Never had Red Wings boots before. Wife told me to go here for new work boots. Gotta say I was impressed, they measure and help with selecting. You tell them what kind of work and they show top yo bottom. Debra was very helpful, a big thank you to her. I will be back.
