Really pretty boardwalk trail all the way to the big tree, making for a pleasant stroll. Spring flowers were in bloom, adding to the experience.
Trailhead conveniently located right on 101.

Beautiful trail to a Rockaway icon!!! The boardwalk makes this very accessible for wheelchairs as well.Lots of blackberries a long the way too. There's also well-kept port-a-potties at the beginning of the trail. Nice attraction in Rockaway or a good place to stretch your legs if you're continuing up or down the 101!

Beautiful walk. It's a leisurely stroll through a beautiful marshland filled with flora and fauna. Dogs are ok, and the trail head has a bag station. Whether or not you will actually find bags depends on when you get there, I guess. The boardwalk is well maintained, but there are slick spots because of moss, so be careful. It was March when we went through there, so I don't know what the situation with mosquitoes is like later in the year. Giant members of old growth can be found spotted throughout the marshland. Some, have fallen sadly or received damage to where they had to be cut, but you can still appreciate them because they are laying on the land as part of the circle of life for mushrooms and other things to eat them. Places like this should be protected forever.

The trail is a raised platform that winds thru a marsh like wetland. Pretty flowers and some amazing trees throughout the whole hike. Very easy walk and well worth the stop.

This park is one of the jewels of Rockaway. The boardwalk is lovely and crosses over wetlands, leading you to a large, ancient cedar tree.

Beautiful. Wood walkways, easy walking well worth the stop. The parking lot is small so you might have to park on the Rd.

A nice walk through the Cedar Wetland Preserve. Partly shady and cool. Wheelchair accessible. Two people can walk easily side by side. Flat and level. There are about 10 parking spots. It’s located just off Highway 101 as you enter Rockaway Beach. There is no playground but it is a kid (and stroller) friendly walk/hike (although staying on the boardwalk is required.) There is one picnic bench and three resting benches at the end of the trail near the “big cedar”. (Packing out what you take in is necessary and there is a garage can, portable toilet and a drinking fountain at the trailhead.) The boardwalk has been repaired and is fully accessible; however, the non-boardwalk portion of the trail (near the viewing area) remains closed from the extensive damage done during a large winter storm in 2023. Open sunrise to sunset.
