Instead of runabout they should name this place the stop-in because you can't keep giving it a run about, you have to stop in. Staff was very nice and accommodating. They helped me pick out shoes and after bringing out about a dozen pairs and running on the treadmill I found the one that worked for me. Additionally they helped guide me to some local trails to break in my new shoes as I am an out of towner. Wish they had more running clothes options but everything else was stellar.

What a great place to get all your accessories/gear that you need for running!!
The employees are the best! Lucky to say they have even become friends! They are Always able to help you with your needs including new shoes, great selection of socks, clothing, gloves for cold days, Goodr glasses for sunny days (you can never have to many), water bottles and all of the nutritional needs for long runs, or if you just want to have waffles and syrup! 😅
The training group is such a good group of people that are very welcoming! I have enjoyed running with them and challenging myself!

Love the store/company and it's associates , Kate one of the associates ,supported me with my purchase of my oncloud monsters-she spent every bit of 45 minutes-Truly a blessing she wonderful. I reccomend this store to everyone their the best in the whole valley.
I returned to purchase more shoes and Got a red pair of Altra red riveras. They have Been fantastic. Love my them,I have flat feet,and the associates of Run about sports really saved my feet. I been able to do more and longer hikes,hikes, well as running. The store and its associates are Blessing to the whole valley.

Ally and the RunAbout Sports team are definitely more than just a running store! The selection of products is awesome and I really appreciated the gait analysis to make sure I was wearing the right running shoes. I can always find what I need with great service! In addition to the shop, the community that they build, the support they provide, and the way that they support other organizations in our area is top-notch. Ally and her training programs and challenges have really helped me to stay motivated with running in the past six months! They provide so much (research-backed, up to date!) content and education and always make sure that they are helping us build a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle. Runabout Roanoke is so much more than just a shoe store. This company has built a wonderful little community of its own while giving selflessly back to the Roanoke small business space. The store’s owner, Ally, is a champion for making family fitness fun and accessible - the Junior Joggers program means so much to my children. The store’s staff (with an extra special shout out to manager Charlotte) are always friendly and welcoming. We love all of the fun events held at the store, too, from Ladies Nights to gear swaps and product taste tests or shoe demos. Runabout is a treasure in this community! Shopping here makes it easy and enjoyable to support small biz and shop local. Thanks for all that you do!

10/10 ⭐️ As someone who moved to the area & picked up running in the past year, I was in search of a running community and a shop with gait/foot analysis to help me along my running journey. RunAbout exceeded all of my expectations! I was able to complete an evaluation/fitting for shoes with ease and felt well taken care of by team member, Hallie. She quickly proved to be very knowledgeable & friendly, which can also be said about the rest of the wonderful staff there. Additionally, RunAbout has all of your running supplies in-store and are more than willing to order anything for you at request. Outside of the store itself, the PEOPLE that make up the RunAbout community--employees, teammates, friends--are second to none! I have felt right at home participating in RunAbout community events, trainings, and races. All-around stellar store & stellar people!!

RunAbout will always be my go-to for all things running! The staff is top-notch at doing gait analysis and helping find the right shoes for whatever your needs are! All the staffers have different backgrounds from speed and shorter distances, beginner 5k help, trail running, marathons, and ultras- so there's someone to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be!

Runabout's continued community involvement from working aid stations at local races to providing free trainings/meet-ups is one of the many reasons I will forever support such an amazing local shop!

Thanks Drew for my "killer bands" that keep my hydration pack from beating me up! Small things like that are what makes this shop so unique- everyone is doing all they can to improve every run possible both for themselves and for their customers and it makes for such a unique and empowering running community 🏃🏻‍♀️
