From an environmental standpoint, it is better to fix what you have rather than replace and buy new. So when the zipper on my boot broke and they were able to fix it up for $18. Now its as good as new.

This place is AMAZING! The people that work there are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable! Highly recommend for quality shoes especially for diabetics/anyone with pain or discomfort on feet, made sure my mom got the proper fit/look and it just made a world of difference! Honestly i can't say enough good things.

Great customer service! When we walked in we were greated by a very friendly staff! We were looking for a specific shoe for my daughter for Catholic school. They tried everything for us, but nothing fit. I am of course last minute with school starting Tuesday and thought I would have to go to another store to get it done in time, about 40 minutes away:( The owner stepped in and was awesome. He actually GAVE us another pair of shoes for school because his shipment for the shoe we wanted wouldn't be in in time. Wow! If you want quality service and quality shoes... this is the place! Very impressed and will be a life long customer!

I was suffering with Planar Fasciitis for nearly six months before I finally could stand the pain no more and visited a podiatrist. On the first visit I received one cortizone shot and partial orthotic inserts. Several days later the pain was as bad as before the office visit. I saw the same doctor two more visits at $40 a visit. He ordered an X-ray which revealed nothing, then he ordered an MRI which my insurance shot down. Moreover, this guy's personality sucks plus he spends very little time with you and is in and out quickly. I decided that going back to this guy was a waste of time and money. My wife recommended that I visit Shoester's Shoes because her father, who worked in construction, always bought shoes from them. Upon entering the store I was promptly greeted by a friendly gentleman. I told him that I have plantar fasciitis and he summoned another gentleman from the back. This gentleman first showed me how to wrap my foot with an elastic tape called Vet Wrap. I told him that I planned on replacing the shoes I was wearing as I suspected they contributed to my problem. He told me that the shoes appeared to be fine but that I needed better support under my foot so he installed full inserts in these shoes. He even built the arch area up a little more. Nobody pressured me to buy a pair of shoes but I had intended to buy another pair from the start; therefore, I chose a walking shoe and purchased a second set of the inserts for these. This man and the owner both spent a lot of time with me and educated me on what to do prevent this injury from recurring. I estimate that I was in the store for over 1 1/2 hours and never felt rushed. Their advice proved to be invaluable. My foot pain began to subside within a day and continued to steadily improve to where I am now pain free. Let me mention that in addition to wrapping my foot and the orthotic inserts, I did a series of stretches twice a day. It has now been about 2 1/2 months since I visited Shoester's Shoes and I am walking around pain free. I would highly recommend this store to anyone suffering from planar fasciitis. You will not be disappointed.

UPDATE: My wife was personally contacted by the owner the next day to apologize for our experience, and he offered to make things right which impressed me very much. Because the owner obviously cares about his business and customers I am changing my review to five stars, and would recommend them to anyone.

Went there looking for school shoes. A man, very professional looking was helping another customer when we walked in. He never acknowledged we were there. "No hello, be with you in a moment", nothing, just looked at us and kept on talking to the woman. An older man comes out of the back, he looked like the maintenance guy, and asks "what do we want?" He was completely rude and condescending to my wife, and my kids. We made an excuse to leave, and walked out of the store. The other guy was still chatting up the woman at the counter. Still didn't say anything to us.
