I ordered a pair of shoes online and when I realized they wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas I contacted them via the website and asked if I could instead pick them up from the store. They called me back and after a quick discussion we arranged for me to pick them up at the Washington Square store. The next day the company driver even called me as he was dropping them off at the store so I knew they would be ready for pick up.
This is a smaller local company and while they may not have all the choice of the big chains I really appreciate the better customer service - thank you!

I walked into Shoe Mill last night looking for some work shoes. The lady that helped me (I think her name was Jessica?) was welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. She made it an excellent experience for me, recommend the perfect insoles for me, and I am very happy with my purchase. Stopped here on Monday July 29th midday because the orthofeet website said they had shoes for sale here. Well they don't but I'm so glad they sent me to this store! I was helped by a lovely woman (I unfortunately cannot remember her name and cannot find the receipt now that I'm home in Nevada). She was was beautiful and and smiling and knew exactly what I needed for my swollen feet! My family was in Portland for a college visit at Reed and to see the sites and I was not going to make it on my Hey Dudes! She instantly diagnosed me with high arches, found me a gorgeous pair of powder blue Hokas, and paired them with comfortable insoles! She even showed me some balls that you roll under your foot at night to help with pain. Let me tell you, we were in Portland a week and one day we hiked 6 miles and I have arthritis and fibromyalgia. I also suffer neuropathy pain from diabetes. These shoes allowed me to keep going further than I normally would and I thank you for that!

Kayla c gave terrible customer service. It honestly felt a little racist as she was perfectly fine interacting with my partner but not me. She was very rude and I was uncomfortable the whole time and did not want to give my business to this location at all.

I stopped here about a month ago to get some shoes for winter. The salesman who waited on me gave superb service. He measured my feet and advised me on sizing and shoe design. My feet were actually a size larger than I thought. My new shoes felt strangely big at first, but now they feel great. Service like this has become quite rare in shoe shops. I'm glad I came, and will come again.
