Just added to my Alden shoe collection this beautiful pair of cordovan’s color 8 Alden by Blain.
From Style by Blain, not your ordinary shoe shop, a must see and visit shop in Germantown Philadelphia.
We had the pleasure to interact with Mr Blain himself, what a treat!

I recently bought an excellent pair of Crockett & Jones shoes here. The owner, Voltaire, is a wonderful person who made the buying experience something completely unique. The conversations we had about shoemaking history, cultures from around the world, and more, were enlightening and made me appreciate Blain's shoe selection even more. I am now a repeat customer because of the level of quality and knowledge about shoes and fashion that’s extended to me. I also get lots of compliments on my purchases!

There are other things to appreciate in the store like the artwork, scents, and seating for conversation. It’s like an experience! This might be the best men’s shoe store in Philadelphia. Would highly recommend.

The place is quite spectacular, Haiti is a place where too designers around the globe for to make great shoes. They offer higher end of shoes, but significantly way under price for the values you get. The variety of styles is on point. They also have a small women collection as well. #StyleOgrapher

Style By Blain provided an amazing experience. I bought a pair of Paraboot shoes- this was my first pair of very high quality shoes. Blain measured my feet- which is basically unheard of now. He insured that I got the shoe that would be best for my foot. Since then, I've bought several pairs of shoes from him. He has a customer forever with me!

Sidenote: The store very nice! It has the ambiance of a parlor, with nice art. I also liked that the owner was very hospitable.

The owner, Voltaire, is the real deal. His decades of experience in fitting higher end shoes was evident. He made it a point to get to know me as a person and my style of dress. Worth the four hour drive. A true professional who loves helping others. Can’t wait to return and pick up my purchases. Great shoe selection.

Update: when I returned and picked up by shoes I found his size, width and last suggestions were perfect. Never had shoes fit this well. I smile every time I wear them and love the complements I receive. Ordered additional shoes and can’t wait to pick them up. It’s like visiting an old friend.

Voltaire is a gentleman's gentleman! The service he delivers with his goods in unparalled. He always treats me like am his only customer!
I love the shoes he designs and the Aldens as well. The line of socks he carries continue to hold strong after several years. Still, I just bought 5 more pairs last night because they are so comforatble and stylish.
