Cannot recommend Sundown more highly enough! First and foremost, they’re a family business and that comes through with the friendly and attentive service no matter what you’re shopping for.

Our most recent visit was for a new set of skis, boots, and poles for my wife. Admittedly we were lured in by the Black Friday deals, and despite the store being a little bit crowded, Jonathan was extremely patient and helpful throughout the entire experience.

We were on the fence between seasonal rentals, rent to own, or just outright purchasing, and Jonathan explain the math and available equipment for all the scenarios. We started off with an advanced boot fitting, complete with a 3-D foot scan, and then Jonathan whisked out a few different boot options (one for each foot) asking my wife to walk around in them for 5-10 mins each. After going through the exercise a few times, she zeroed in on a nice pair of Nordicas. From there, we went to the skis, and they were running a great deal on brand new equipment from last season, so we bagged 40% off for Blizzard skis and Marker bindings, then grabbed a set of Leki poles to complete the set. Their prices are competitive to begin with, but they do price match in the off chance you find something cheaper that’s in stock (same size, year, etc) elsewhere.

From start to finish, it was a great experience, and we both learned a lot through all of it…Even got some great tips for layering so don’t be surprised if we’re back in a week or two for some new base layers!

PS, and just as a heads up, they charge you a $50 fee for the advanced boot fitting they do (3D foot scans, etc) but that is applied towards any boot purchase, or if you decide not to get boots, you can still walk away with a $50 gift card to the store, so there’s no loss. I presume they do that so people don’t come in, spend a couple hours of an associate’s time, and then not purchase anything, and it makes perfect sense.

I just bought a new Kingsley Bate Teak outdoor dining set from Sundown and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the product and equally important...the wonderful customer service and support. I researched and looked at many options at various outdoor furniture stores but I always came back to Sundown because Johnny, one of the managers was so amazingly helpful, knowledgable and patient. I think I made the poor guy crazy with all my questions and uncertainty but he was always helpful, patient and so nice. I never felt pressured - he really wanted me to be happy with my purchase. I know Sundown is know for their winter and ski products but this is the 2nd summer furniture purchase I made from Sundown and they have been awesome both times. I highly recommend them.

Simply an amazing crew. Johnny (or Jonny, I'm not sure) was the one who helped me pick out my first pair of boots and bindings (I had already bought my own skis) and he was super kind, honest, and willing to compromise. I showed that the same pair I chose was online for a lower price and they matched that price without blinking an eye. Paul, the guy who did my bindings, did a wonderful job as well. These guys are the real deal. They have a large selection of clothes, accessories and furniture as well, although I didn't look into those as much. I decided to visit this place because of the good star rating, and it did not disappoint.

The ski shop staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. Paul and Johnny helped our family buy skis and boots and made the experience really easy and pleasant. We came on two separate occasions and they gave us balanced opinions and were not trying to push products on us at all.
