Found Tahoe Gear Exchange after a recommendation from Reddit!
I came here two weekends in a row and both times were awesome. There was new inventory, even after just coming a week apart. Friends and I walked out with a total of 3 skis, 2 boots, a bib, and pants!
Can’t wait to come back when we need more new (to us) gear!

Everyone (both human + dogs) was knowledgeable, welcoming, kind, and professional! They helped answer questions and get fitted 🙂

Needed a pair of ski poles and called the shop. The owner stayed 30 min after closing for me! He was extremely amicable and helpful. Super good place if youre looking to get used gear at a reasonable price. I've also bought a pair of smith goggles from them for a good deal too. All around awesome!

Wow, well if you sell stuff here they consider your items a donation after 6 months. Super sketchy, I never got an email or call that my items I was consigning were about to be donated to the shop. No one pointed this out. Never shopping here or recommending you buy. Most of this stuff is probably a donation to the shop so owners like me don’t get paid. I am local and will never recommend this shop. BE WARNED THEY TAKE YOUR STUFF AFTER 6 months.

Local gem! A polished and structured ski-swap vibe. Andrew and his team are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, but more importantly they are passionate about getting people further in their hobbies. Inventory cycles, but there’s typically browsable stock to suit all ages and abilities - and competitively priced. Worth the visit if you haven’t been!

Make this place your first stop for all gear!! Not only are they surprisingly well stocked for everything you need, there are so many treasures. Andrew, the owner, has created a great shop here for the community and visitors; he's super helpful, super knowledgeable, and honest about any issues with used items. I've also consigned a bunch of gear and love knowing my pre-loved stuff is finding new adventure! We also now own a tandem bike, which I certainly never expected but love 🙂

I want to give a huge thank you to Andrew for helping us out today. Andrew is in the business of helping people get into all sorts of recreation, but today he got us set to snowboard. He had a board in stock that was perfect size for my 6 year old daughter, she loved it, and the price was right. He didn't have bindings for her, so he gave us recommendations for where to check next. We went to two other spots and spent way too much for the only extra small bindings in the area, but went back for the board. Andrew talked us through everything he was doing as he set up her board. He could tell that we weren't super experienced, but needed a way to get out there with our kid. I'm super happy to have popped in because Andrew cares, and won't just sell you what he's pushing like the other guys. Quality gear, highly knowledgeable, and no side eyes or judgement. Always try Andrew first, if he doesn't have it, he will help you find it. His canine friends behind the counter are pretty awesome too. We had a lot of fun today. More to come. See you soon we hope!

This place is really cool. It has a great selection and variety of things for the great outdoorsmen. Andrew, the owner really knows how to run a business. He seems super honest, upfront and extremely helpful. We went into wanting to sell a trekking pack and he made the whole experience easy and we feel very encouraged he will sell it for the best price. I wish I lived in the area because I would definitely shop here often and support this small business.
