Easy casual hike loop. About 2 miles in total. Not much of an incline. Nice option if you're looking for a mild short walk. Lots of trees with lichen laces. Gives it an enchanting feel.

Second time I’ve done this hike, I did it with my four-year-old daughters several years ago and it was just as beautiful. Everything is extremely green right now due to the rains. There are some areas where it could be considered moderate depending on how active you are because it is uphill, but not to the extent that it’s extremely hard or impossible

The trail was fairly easy and went for a couple miles. Most of it is well shaded which helps you stay cool. It had some very nice views up at the top and we didn't need a ton of time to complete the trail. There's plenty of parking out by the trailhead.

A nice hike up through oak and madrone woodland, with nice views of the Atascadero area from the top.

Great trail run with a beautiful Vista at the summit. There is a nice panoramic sign at the trail end which details all of the features within your view. Top to bottom at a 4 mph pace gets you up and down in just under an hour. Good elevation gain, great workout. The trail is very well kept. Keep your eyes out in the sunny spots when crossing the first creek bed (if it's dry), you may see a rattler sunning itself. Cheers

Dogs are allowed. I love this trail! The loop is a mile and a half, with some good inclines and switchbacks. It’s beautifully maintained and there’s always an abundance of wildlife to watch. The plaques that give more info about the flora and fauna are great. Finding the trailhead can be difficult and you must go slow and respect the neighborhoods you drive through!

Great hike to the top. Beautiful view. On a hot day consider starting early in the morning because it does get hot here and there are some stretches toward the top that don’t have a lot of shade. Or just bring plenty of water for you and your canine companion.
