It's not just a normal shoe store, it's a personalized experience. They watch you walk first and make observations and slowly choose shoes as you keep walking. After nearly a dozen pairs of shoes, my daughter had settled on a specific kind. The color isn't my top choice, but they're also not my shoes. They do have the availability to order a color you like and they could be available for pickup in a couple of days. Not my business for what the shoes cost because all that matters is that she can now go for a walk and not be in pain.
I'm always buying shoes and immediately going out to buy a separate pair of shoe inserts to support my arch. Maybe next time, I'll start at Toolen's instead.

Absolutely great place set in a plaza amongst other stores where you can buy high-quality shoes as well as other much other apparel. This family-owned business is very accommodating and has the friendliest staff. They are active in the community as well as having the store with a variety of shoes and apparel available. It is nice to go into a business and be accommodated by the family that owns it. Wonderful people and a wonderful place!

They were so great! They watched me walk and based a shoe off that. She let me try on at least 7 pairs of shoes, which is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't have a good experience at RunWell. I will go here and recommend toolens over RunWell.

The bad review about not being able to return worn shoes? They tell you the no return policy - upfront. You can get an exchange, there's also a big sign at the register. And they say you cannot return shoes if they appear worn on the bottoms. I brought my Hokas back and exchanged them for a pair of Brooks Ghost 17, that fit better. The sales guys are super patient and wait on you. They're not off playing on their phones like a lot of other places. Their customer service can't be beat. You'd need to be an extremely rude and difficult customer to leave unhappy. Unless you can't follow simple instructions about returns.

What a great show shop. I am not a runner but will run on occasion for charities and they always have what I need. They also took care of my son's running gear needs when he was running cross country in high school. Toolen's has it all covered, clothes, gear, supplements, and of course, an amazing selection of shoes.

Phenomenal service. I purchased some Hoka shoes and the pull tab broke on day 2 of wearing them. I went back on my way to the airport… they didn’t have the same in my size, but they brought out 5 other options and helped me find the right fit. I couldn’t thank them enough and I made my flight on time. Such an amazing team and if I lived local k would only shop there.
