Traipse is far and away the best shoe store in all of Chicago. If you love interesting and fun and comfortable shoes--this is the place to be. I have so many pairs of Trippen shoes from Margaret that I could open a store in my closet--all size 7, of course. Margaret is the best and always orders me great Trippen shoes that I see online. I have sent several friends here and everyone loves this shop. My friends have purchased so many pairs of shoes that I make them check to be sure they don't wear the same shoes I am when we go out. Oh I have nothing to say other than. Thank you Margaret for having such a wonderful store. I grew up with this idea my father insisted it was the best life lesson. Always invest on good shoes. I got me a pair of Trippen Moraine in black. I told my partner coming here was a mistake. He said if it was a mistake we would have left long time ago. Seriously though excellent quality, style, prices are fair and the customer service was great.

great shoes + great service = The ideal shoe shop! I LOVE this shop and I love working with the owner Margaret. She is so knowledgable and always matches me up wit the perfect shoe. I stand all day so Trippens work best for me but I also love Cydwocs. The only challenge with the selection - truly - is narrowing it down!
