Never a good experience. I've been in probably five or ten times in the last couple of years to check out their firearms stock, and not once have I been approached, addressed, or offered help by whomever was manning the counter. Any time I dared to ask a question the answer was short, condescending, and no eye contact was made. There are a couple of younger gentlemen on the floor who are always pleasant and helpful but as far as the counter guys go, they may have good prices but I will NEVER buy from Wild Sports. Worst-in-class customer service and salesmanship.

I've bought a few things from Wild Sports and I am giving them 5 stars because they have been pretty good - here are a few things to know about this place:

1) If you buy a fire-arm - you cannot go in 10 days after with a date stamp on the receipt to get your fire-arm. You have to go on the 11th day. I understand their rational - but it stinks waiting that extra day - not a big deal - but be aware of the policy.
2) If you buy ammo - they only sell you a few boxes at a time. Like 2 total. It's stupid. The ammo crunch is over - go elsewhere if you are wanting to buy a few cases for a hunt etc.
3) Sometimes this place gets really busy and you have to wait for what seems like a long time to be helped while "earl" and his "old lady" look at the pink hand gun behind the shelf. So when you go in there - be patient... and please - GET TO THE POINT!
4) Other than that - they have a good system for the hand gun safety course, and they have a large selection of rifles, hand guns, and shot guns.

They are really conveniently located for me - and with the really large selection - I give them 5 stars.

Staff has been really friendly as well.

I just purchased my rifle from them. My first one. From what I gather, as long as you show the staff respect, they will show you that same respect. All the staff was helpful and answered all my questions. I had no issues at all with customer service. The only reason I give them a 4 instead of a 5 is because their website isn't user friendly. Other than that, it was a smooth process.

I tried twice to purchase a gun and take the test. It was like they kept encouraging me to shop elsewhere... I even bought ammo to show my interest. There was really no desire to help or sell me anything. Every question I asked it was like a bother to them and like they all had a game going of 'who could answer the most questions with a yes/no Responce'.

The other customer reviews are spot on, my experience made me want to build a shop next door and compete with then head on head with great customer service. I am sure I could raise the prices and still beat them day after day!

Terrible. A couple of the guys there are friendly but the rest are lazy and really sour miserable people. The customer service is one of the worst I have ever encountered. I almost went home to put on my best redneck outfit so I could get some decent service. Definitely not minority friendly. They were actually trying their hardest not to sell me a revolver I was interested in. They have some nice gear but its to bad they are not friendly people. I will drive the extra distance for customer service that pretends at least to be happy to be alive.

First time going there. I don't know why ppl are giving this store such a bad reviews. It look just like every other gun stores to me. Me and my girlfrien were greeted welcome as we walked in through the door! Then we went about our business just looking around to see what they have and went over to the gun section and again, we were greeted nicely by the gun associate there. We ask to take a look at some of they're handguns and he kindly went and brought out some handguns to show us. Ask a few more questions about guns for home defense and the staff was very knowledgeable in pointing out on what to choose base on our need. He show me how to work the guns since this is my very first time shopping for a handgun. And gave me some more info on where to go for range shooting to find what feels right for me before making a purchase. My advice to people, Don't try to insult the staff on they're product then maybe you'll be treated with respect. I work for retailers and I get that a lot from the most rudeness and obnoxious customer that thinks they know everything in the world that deserves to be treated like a king or queen as soon as they walk in through the door. Show some RESPECT before you can earn the respect. You get no RESPECT! if you're just gonna be an ASS-Hole.

3 weeks ago I purchased a shirt as a gift for my Dad who lives in WI. I asked about the return policy in case my Dad did not like the shirt. Steve said, "as long as it is a credit card purchase, we do not give cash back, and the item is returned in new condition with the tags on, we will credit your card".
When I went to return the shirt today an employee named Glen was dismissive when I said I had a return. He stared at the receipt for an extended amount of time, held it up to the light like is was a counterfeit bill, then he gave the shirt a CSI examination and even smelled it! He directed me to find something for an exchange, and I thought "what the heck, I'll have a look around".
When I told him I could not find anything, he was once a gain put off, and when I said "let's just credit my card back", he replied, "we don't do that; exchange or store credit only". I shared that is not what Steve said 3 weeks ago, and he basically said Steve made a mistake or was not clear on the policy.
When we went to the cash register I could tell he was visibly annoyed because he had to make a card for in store credit. He was beating on the buttons on the cash register like a 3 year old having a temper tantrum. He then moved to another machine, produced the card, and handed it o me without saying a word.
If I was his boss and I read this review Glen would be filing for unemployment; he is rude, off putting, dismissive, and seems to have anger issues (not a good thing with a lot of guns, ammo and knives about).

I asked the clerk if I could see the sale prices on the ammo and he stated "whatever is on the website." I asked if he had a printout of the sales and he stated "no." After I looked up the prices on my phone (while I was standing in an isle looking at the ammo, and one of the salesman moved so he could watch me) I went to the purchase counter. The same clerk who told me he did not have a printout pulled out a printout of the ammo that was on sale. I asked him why he told me he didn't have a print out when he did and with a smug smile he said "it all worked out in the end."
I will never come here again. Online buying is a much better way to go. Horrible experience. I will never shop here again.
