It's a beautiful park with babbling brooks and mossy paths... I fell in love with this park after stumbling onto it by accident after leaving an Airbnb and trying to figure out what to do next and will absolutely be returning it's magical

Beautiful park, trails well blazed. Paths well kept and had benches periodically which was nice. Make sure to be aware of the intensity of the trail (easy, moderate, hard) as there are large/steep hills to climb.

Great local spot for hiking. Relatively easy, well marked trails ranging from about a mile to nearly 10! Nice mix of woods, open fields, creeks and streams. There's a small pond as well. There is a decent amount of parking. Decent birdwatching, but I've not seen much wildlife. There tend to be too many people, though I have seen deer and foxes in the autumn and winter.

I went here with my four children, ranging from 1 year to 14, and we all had a blast. We went straight for the forest trail, and it was pretty stroller friendly. It was our first time there and it certainly will not be our last. It was beyond beautiful. We noticed that the soil on the trail was sparkly, from the shiny rocks that are all over. Very pretty. We can’t wait to explore this park more.

This 569 acre park includes overlooks of the Octoraro Creek. There are about 10 miles of trail great for hiking and trail running (horses and bikes are not permitted) This place also has paved Wolf's Hollow Drive that is over 2 miles long and would be good for strollers or the disabled. This park is great for bird watching and butterfly watching. There are small butterfly gardens near the outhouses in the main parking lot that had several butterflies. On the forest trail I saw several more whenever there was a break in the trees permitting sunlight to reach the trail. Bug spray is well advised. Dogs are permitted on 6 foot or shorter leash.

HIDDEN GEM.

Plenty of parking all seasons. Most trails are up and down . Great day hike , bring Water and snack.
Some trails may push you but So Worth it.
Great views on Forest and Octoraro Ridge trail along Octoraro Creek in the Valley.
Look up along the creek, there is a Bald Eagle living in the area!!

We really enjoy this park, summer, winter, or in between. Many nice paths, some paved, some in the woods, and some across open fields. There's hills too for a bit of a work out. The paths are marked and there are picnic tables along some trails. Nice for all ages.
