Went a got fitted yesterday. Sands is the man! The time and efforts made to get the right fit really paid off! Today I had the most vert ever with literally no boot discomfort.

Recovering from a broken ankle and weary about ski boots fitting properly stopped into the Avon shop and my experience with the team at Boot Mechanics was amazing. My boots fit like a glove. Barry got me in the perfect boot/footbeds after my old boots started making both of my feet completely numb. I went back for a couple tiny adjustments and I’ve never had such a good ski season! Heard good things about these guys, so instead of getting fitted in the Village (Vail), I decided the to go off Piste and schedule a appointment to work with Barry at the Boot Mechanics in Avon. Needed new shells, already had the Zip Fit liners (Absolutely Love them). Barry had me try on several boots. Finally focus in on the Tecnica Mach1 MV 120, nice snug fit. After a few adjustments to the shell and liner I decided to ski them and put them to the test. Wow! They passed and they're perfect ! Great fit. Barry, thank for the great work! Charlie, thanks for visiting with me when I first showed up at the store to check it out. And Sands, good to meet you. Have a great ski season fellas.

Barry saved my season! I came in walking like a penguin and left gliding like a gazelle. The custom footbeds? Chef’s kiss. My boots went from medieval torture devices to slippers made for conquering the steeps. If you’re still debating whether it’s worth it, stop—your feet deserve better, and Barry is the hero they’ve been waiting for.

Arrived in town for a weeklong ski trip with brand new ski boots that turned out to be excruciating.

I spent an hour with Barry who was able to change the shell to fit my foot better. My boots fit perfectly now and I am pain free!

Barry and the rest of the crew were professional, knowledgeable, and extremely skilled! I Can’t recommend enough!

Sand set me up with a well fit pair of boots. Made all the difference in the world. Broke them in at A-Basin and was amazed how thevright boots made for a top day on the slopes.
